Asda Ryhope accident

Anyone have any idea what’s happening at Asda Ryhope. Car accident of some sort. 2 x fire engines here. Police. The lots. Saw someone stretched out the car driving past.

If ASDA shoppers in Ryhope are anything like ours what probably happened is someone decided in their infinite wisdom to cut a corner in some daft and stupid attempt to believe they are getting somewhere quicker and hit a rather obvious post of some kind.

About three cars have been written off because the post containing cables or wiring opposite the filling station has been hit despite it being nowhere near where any car would or could go near. It’s well away from any proper line a car would naturally take. The only way in which it would hit the metal post is if the driver cut a corner.
