I didn't expect us to beat them and never said so. I would hope the owner and whoever is in charge of recruitment will recognise there is work to be done, and money to be spent to get us out of Div 3 asap and have us competitive in the Championship. From the response it would appear I am in the minority for which I make no apologies.
But tonight's game had very little to do with those games. The comparison is ridiculous.

Our supporters were magnificent, some of our build up play was way higher than L1 , but the defensive frailties were there for all to see.
No ball winner in midfield, which must be top priority in January and a more pragmatic approach away from home against the better teams
We have the base to win the league if we strengthen in the right areas and pick the right team and tactics

Absolute arsehole..

It was most of Arsenals first team that are sitting fourth in the PL. And it was the wide areas we struggled defensively in not the central. Arsenals movement was impressive at times. Most PL sides would have struggled.

Strong line up from Arsenal tonight. We gave a decent account of ourselves. The main frailty was down the flanks where all season we play a risky 1v1 situation with our full backs vs winger. We get away with it in most L1 matches, but no way can we approach higher level opposition in the Champo away from home like that every other week....IF we make it there. :/

Shit
Post that mind .

Words escape me

We gave it a go, but there is a big gulf in standard between a team pressing for a Champions league place and a one pressing for the championship. If you are playing a big static back three, then you need support from your midfield to track their runners, so I thought we were a bit naive in that respect. After we gave them two goals head start, I thought we were excellent going forward and Pritchard and Broadhead did not look out of place even in this standard. Great ball from Embleton for the goal and how unlucky was that shot that hit the post.
Unsung hero tonight was Winchester, who never stopped running all night and gave very little away. Hume a night to forget, don't know if that's because he is just back or if he is just poor. He was up against a £70 million pound player mind, but just poor marking for two of their goals and the nutmeg for the third was awful (basic full back play).

Full back is a major problem but when the crosses came in Doyle,Flannigan and Wright were as static as milk bottles
Hume was never good enough even for league 1 standards
We played some neat football and I sorry that Embo didn’t get a goal and Pritchard put a shift in but we need reinforcements with a bit of quality and nous

Would have been great to see how Huggins and Cirkin coped tonight, if they'd played well I'd be on my way to believing we have a core of five or six players to build on which has to be our our aim going forward.
What shagging his brothers wife?

Strengthened up no end shinning down the drainpipe at his brothers gaff.

I don't think a ball winner was an issue whatsoever today. We went up against a footballing side and came out of it well imo. We won plenty of second balls and unlike ball winners we could attract at our level, then kept it well also

Can't believe the amount of stuff getting chucked down on us tonight.
Embarrassing really.
Thought we did well considering, especially first half, great that we scored too.
