He’ll get passed around the PL basement teams for £40m a go like so many players that we have signed over the years. Never good enough for arsenal I agree, but will live off his cameos at arsenal for years

Crazy to think he's worth 40 mil. But you're probably right. But I think he's a Norwich type player.

First half really decent against a top premier league team. Class showed out, some real plus points, Pritchard probably best, Broadhead will be a big miss if it is a hamstring injury. A lot of naivety in not doubling up on Pepe. Defending questionable at times (too many times) but we won't play the likes of these for a good while yet.
So hopefully lessons learnt and we get back to the real test at Doncaster. They must show that they can take this in their strides and use the lesson to improve as a team going forward into next year

Whatever happened to the media giving good coverage to the underdog? Watching the post match analysis and every single bit has been Arsenal. Obviously would expect the winning team to get the bulk of the coverage but they haven’t even shown our goal.
Southern *****

He did, not disputing the fact, but Neil has to develop, unfortunately training with the players we have and playing in this league is good for a season or two but he will want to push on. Henderson prime example.
To develop he has to go ASAP tbh.

If he stays he will pick up bad habits from this league.

As much as I hate to say it, he should think about his career and go.

every time we change shape we go to total shit and hume just isnt fit enough to be dealing with one of the best plyers in the world
Don't think any of our team are/were sadly. He's a league 1 player just back from injury - aye he was shite but we will be back to league 1 next week.

I would rather concentrate on the positives from today.

He's always shite. Give your head a shake !
Don’t disagree as I’ve said in other posts, he’s not great, never rated him. But that’s a hard game for the lad. Definitely don’t think he’s ever going to be more than a championship average level player.

You watch 5k Sunderland supporters who travelled all the way down there on a hiding to nothing standing on the seats and singing STID. Then you come on here and the ones you’d expect are moaning and saying it’s an embarrassment.

Never fails to disappoint does the SMB.
A minority best ignored.

But we're gonna need to buy a striker in January. Broadhead out and Stewart way off the pace recently leaves us searching for goals. We won't get out of this division without goalscorers.

You're right but defence is the priority.

aye people going to bits after being taken apart by one of the most expensive teams in the world are mental like

3 of their goals came from denver hume defending that left hand side. Basically every goal arsenal scored since he came on. Arsenal or not, its a problem. But they clearly targeted him.

In league one, denver hume will let more crosses in than he prevents.
The third was Embleton slipping over while challenging Tavares, on our right
Not gunna make Hume the scapegoat we were 2 down before he came on, done for 2 goals but in both cases the forwards were pretty much un marked

Arsenal were able to exploit our biggest weaknesses; the inabaility to stopp crosses, and leaving players unmarked in the penalty area.

Glad someone talks sense. Didn’t think we were bad today. Pulled apart by some top level play, nothing to be ashamed of.

It wasn't a top premier league team it was basically their 2nd string.
