Problem with this team is obv we need a right back , but the centre defence is shite Wright tells others what to do without even been able to do it himself he’s one of the worst passers I’ve seen he constantly plays people into trouble delays easier passes then plays someone into trouble

We've done well but we're look shakey at back at times. Flanagan shits his pants at the slightest hint of pressure. Shame about Broadhead as he gives us a great threat. Hope we can still carry that attacking threat in second half. Winiesta for an equaliser!

I think the quality of the pitch has helped our passing game. We won't get that at Fleetwwod etc.

This kind of game will benefit our young'uns, whatever the result.

It was worrying at 2-0 down but overall we've given a really good account of ourselves so far.

Regardless of what people think about Johnson, there is no denying he is willing to stick to his philosophy even when it would be much easier to deviate from it, and we play some excellent football as a result. No further proof needed than tonight and how we've played away to a top PL side.

The Broadhead injury is a massive worry mind. If he's out for any lengthy period it could be devastating.
LJ deserves massive credit. He really has set us up well and the players know exactly what is expected of them.

Nothing to be gained?A bit glory with a night to remember maybe?Memories that last for years?
Not sure what memories we’ll get from gallantly losing away to arsenal? We’ve done that for years in the PL prior to Moyes. Would much rather we just focused on the league and moved towards getting back to playing these teams every week

You can't wrap them in cotton wool. Injuries will happen. You're going on ridiculous which isn't surprising
Don't give him the time of day man.
He'd moan at something regardless, it's all he does

Gonna be difficult with Broadhead coming off but if Pritchard keeps this level of performance up for the next 45 minutes, anything is possible.

Andy Reid
Ex-Sunderland midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live
Sunderland have been excellent and so composed at times. They look their best when they keep the ball. If Mo Salah had scored that goal for Liverpool by Nathan Broadhead it would've been on repeat on the TV - what a move.

Love Andy Reid me
We’ve moved the ball well and scored a cracking goal. Isn’t hasn’t been mentioned on sky but we have a pretty young side out. If we could just get out of this god awful league we’re stuck in it’s encouraging to see that a few of these lads could play at a higher level.

We don't half pick up a load of injuries. Shame, would have been class seeing us with a full squad to choose from tonight.
