Around the Shires....

Middlesex the only game still standing today, looks like Sky picked correctly

Except for some big collapses, it's looking like Gloucester, Somerset and maybe Northamptonshire and Nottingham are in with a chance of getting a win this round. How many games does each team play, as group 2 is starting to drift apart already.

Ten games ( 5 home and 5 away) then they split into the new groups.
Another win for Gloucs who are making a decent early bid for that elusive first title.
Essex 99 all out against Notts. They aren't a good team this season, we should really have beaten them.
Very true and another defeat for Essex this time by an innings and 30 runs to Notts.

Still I was told on here that we ought to be pleased that we managed to give them a game for the first three days.;)

Apparently aye, recurrence of his elbow injury. Reckon that's him ruled out the England game they reckon, unfortunately.
To be fair I don’t even think we need him that much in red ball cricket at home. I’d rather he just rested and make sure he’s fully fit for the T20 World Cup and the ashes. This elbow injury is a bit of a concern mind when it’s recurring

Hampshire v Leicestershire starting today, a day earlier than the other matches this week. The first game spectators are allowed entry and yes the start is delayed due to rain.
Currently watching the Surrey v Middx stream and the sky gang are there with their extra cameras. Rocky batting quite nicely!
