Outperforming Jack Leach, so that will be him getting fast tracked into the England squad if Rehan Ahmed and Shoaib Bashir are anything to go by

If he scores some big runs in the last weeks of the season alongside taking wickets....would this regime take him over to compete with Bashir?

Leach is a better bowler than Bashir, just Bashir has a higher ceiling imo

So was Atherton's son but now bats as an all rounder at 7.

Interesting that Somerset have both him and Goldsworthy as young offspinners that can open the batting.
