Been hanging fire on a Mac Mini M4 in the hope they'll announce a M5 mini. If they're on the pricey side cos of the global RAM prices I'll just get a second hand M4 mini of some nerd that needlessly upgrades.

That's Apple's business model. Take ideas from others then make them shiny and market it all in a way that their customers want to pay more for them.
