Yeah cos I bet he's really poor, after his years as a player and managerHe’s done what 100% of humans would do. We are talking about millions of pounds you numpty. Would you refuse millions of pounds? I’m sure you wouldn’t
The pool is shrinking the more we go throughHe did really well for us but there’s no saying another manager won’t. You’re making it sound like we had the worst 11 first team in league 1. We’ll be ok, the same people appointed AN.
Wasn't the rolling contract his idea? Apparently the same at Preston and Norwich.I don't blame him to be honest.
The board at SAFC want a good f***ing - they should have tied Neil down with more money and a firm contract after we won at Wembley.
But no - we carried on with his rolling contract.
I’m not. I’m not happy but ne can f*** right off. We are Sunderland. He'll turn it around for you, great manager. I'm absolutely gutted, everyone is
Who knows?Wasn't the rolling contract his idea? Apparently the same at Preston and Norwich.
What the fck does this mean?Tell the baldy jock twat I hope he stands nee foot on a log brick covered in dog shit
People do revise opinions when people walk away from a job .First of all he is excellent. 12 hours ago 100% of people on here would have said the same but some are now revising their opinion. He’s adaptable, his in game management is superb he just knows how to manage a football team very well. He will improve you no end and it won’t take him long to do it either. I’m gutted tbh.
Depends on expectations I suppose. To go from 6-0 at Bolton to say finish 12th in the championship in just over a year would have been phenomenal. That would include a run of defeats somewhere and fans bring fans some would have twisted on. It all down to opinion though I think he’s tremendous and so did 99pc of this board 24 hours ago.People do revise opinions when people walk away from a job .
It's all guess work but you question his motivation . He could have lost the next 4 matches and opinions would change
He isn't the finished article yet
Fuck knows I was pissed when I typed itWhat the fck does this mean?
I disagree massively. He inherited a squad so low on confidence it was unreal and our January signings were hated by the vast majority of fans. He turned us around through his own tactical skills and man management. I suspect he'll do exactly the same at Stoke.I thought AN was an exceptional manager for us with only a 12% loss rate. His stats with us excelled because he inherited a good squad with some very good January additions. He will not replicate our numbers elsewhere.
I don't blame him to be honest.

Thanks for your honesty, much appreciated.Hi. I'm a Stoke fan and all I can say is sorry that it looks like we are poaching Neil! I don't know what to make of it.
My first reaction (and still now) is to be totally honest and say that I don't know why he would swap you for us! I love my club, but I know that you are a bigger club than
we are and you are on the up where we are just treading water! You can pull in 40000 or so fans and we have about 20000 regularly. Maybe 5 years ago when we were in the Prem and had much bigger appeal, I could understand it more, but it seems a strange one now. If it's purely about a bigger contract/money that we will give him then I'd be slightly worried about his reasons for coming - but who knows!
He may well be what we need as we have a very good squad potentially who should be challenging - but we've been absolute dog shite for the last 5 years!!
I feel for you though. Bizarrely, this was how we felt when Steve Cotterill left us many years ago to become Assistant Manager for you guys for those of you who remember that. Football eh!!!
That Stoke side last week was one of the worst Championship sides id seen for a long time...I disagree massively. He got Norwich promoted and a bang average Preston side (with no budget) near the play offs. That Stoke side, on paper, is far better then they're playing. I'd expect him to be able to get far more out of them.

You were the lucky ones losing CotterillHi. I'm a Stoke fan and all I can say is sorry that it looks like we are poaching Neil! I don't know what to make of it.
