Pop Robson the oldest striker aged 38 ever to score for the Lads. A very fit and agile player his wife was a ballet teacher and apparently had him do ballet exercises.

I saw him playing for West Ham against the mighty Leeds in 1974. He scored a typical Robson flying header with the Hammers turning out 3 -0 winners. Brooking and Best scored the other goals. It was one of the most memorable games I have been to.

I'm looking for your favourite individual who was either born in Tyneside, played for Newcastle or coached/ managed Newcastle that has Sunderland connections.

Stokoe is everyones probable favourite but who else is yours..?

Loads to choose from if you think about it. Interesting to hear who people pick
Stan Anderson - wonderful footballer
