The mention of John Emburey's simple bowling action in another thread made me think how he would go trying to bowl a doosra.

I think the answer is that pre legalised "throwing" it was impossible. I'm sure Murali could bowl all of his deliveries while sitting in a lounge chair.

Has anyone tried it or do you know anyone at local level who does? How legal is their action?

My shoulder couldn't handle trying it these days:-()

When I bowled off spin I used my wrist to spin the ball and just flicked my wrist in the opposite direction...people will argue that it was a leg break though

I'm sure MacRowners mentioned that he could

I have an arm ball an occasionally googly but a doosra, feck no. more than half the time i don't know if it'll spin bounce or seam.

Shit what is a doosra and variation but a chuck anyroad.

In my opinion and not just murali but there are some very suspects actions out there and I include Harbajan in that catagory.

One of the biggest mistakes made by the ICC was to allow bent elbow actions
