Started when it was owned by Stanhope Co-Op had just caravans and no concrete bases or electricty.
Old fella Mr Sparks used to drive around in his Vauxhall Cavalier, they left when it got bought out by the chain.
Then had to buy a caravan from them, caravan had to be under a certain age etc etc
Spoilt a fabulous site.
Bingo in the Barn Owl, used to be the old cottage at the top of the first field.
