Maybe. However it's a lot more comfortable self deprecating after the event than when we remind them about Johnson ruining their Christmas. :)

I can sympathise with regards to Short.
Perhaps to give Ashley some credit, he is a bit more tight fisted which has possibly benfitted us when the going has got tough, but it only got tough cos of his actions in the first place.
I think as an outsider, it seems like Short has been a bit more reckless and put money in but invested incredibly badly and has got the club in a right mess which can't really be saved other than throwig more money at it, which he's clearly unwilling to do now.
 
I hate them but the trick is not to laugh too much when they are bad/relegated. Laugh as much as you want on here but if you give them stick, then be prepared to take it. However, what I have found from others is that whilst I hate NUFC as a club, the people are the same as us. The vast majority of them can't see that and are quite personal. As for underwaterspunkbubble, it will be fine when they are doing shit because as previous, you won't see him on here. He has a tendency to hide like a little girl

I honestly don't know anybody who thinks Adam Johnson was responsible for spoiling Christmas because he scored the winner in the derby just before Christmas.
Similar to the claims of being devastated at being relegated "by Sunderland". If anything that relegation brought a massive feel good factor to the place and filled people with optimism and hope once Benitez said he was gonna stick around, as evidenced by 50k+ crowds just about every home game in the championship.
 
Get no grief at all off them. Live in CLS which is half and half.

I think he was sold the sky/pl money making dream by thinking all he had to do was put some money in and then whatever he put in would be instantly doubled. Doesn't quite work like that and that he has to be a bit clever, a bit like Ashley in certain ways

Not this time, as I'm retired and don't see too many of them, but in 2006 when we got relagated with 15 points, a Mag I worked with, gave my mobile number to half of the fuckin Gallowgate end. I was getting random texts, and calls for weeks off mag pricks takin the piss.......
Fairly inventive for a Mag.
 
Aye, had loads tagging me in all sorts of shite on Facebook etc.

It’s only banter and some of it is canny funny but the ones that give it the big’n never go to any games. One thing I’ve learned about mags, whenever they get cocky and confident something always goes tits up with them.

Two Mags at work, and no grief.

Minor piss-taking on both sides at different times, but an underpinning acceptance that we both support shit provincial teams, and arguing over them is like two bald men fighting over a comb.
