Signed up for information about an umpiring course at uni. Has anyone on here done one and what is it like?
 

No but I'd be interested in doing it actually - mind it seems to get a job doing it on the county scene you have to have played county cricket! Michael Gough got straight into it, he is good to be fair to him like.
 
I did one about 20 years ago. Worthwhile if you are a cricket nut and you can bore everybody by referring to obscure interpretations about strange dismissals, dodgy run outs and so on.

Martin Saggers took less than 1 year from retiring from county cricket iirc.
