Anybody off to Lord's this week?

Aye, buzzing to see Mo Ali actually

One of my favourite cricketers, 5,6,7,8 of Bairsotw, Buttler, Ali and Curran

Yes please
Anyone think Pope's way back in the team could be at 3

Granted he will be lucky to be back in the side, but if they really rate this lad as the next big thing, the stage now of "protecting" him is long gone. He needs to step up. Could be an option, he can't stay at 6 forever. We have better options there IMO, especially when everyone is fit.

Hameed
Burns
Pope
Root
Bairstow
Buttler
Ali
Curran
Wood
Robinson
Anderson

Looks a hell of a lot more balanced.

Mahmood has been added to the squad as cover, presumably with Broad injured. Bess has returned to Yorkshire

He’s never a 3 imo

Noticed the Mahmood news earlier, presumed it was for Broad.

So potentially no Anderson, Archer, Broad, Stokes and Woakes. Not a bad bowling attack
Yeah it was announced as cover for Broad but if Jimmy is missing I’d say Mahmood is a more natural replacement. I think Overton probably competes with Robinson for a place in the team and Woody will take Broads place.

Yep no luck with injuries some excellent bowlers missing there. Olly Stone another not available

Bloody raining. Seems to be following me around at the moment. Not enough to stop them getting a pointless 10 over game in at Chesterfield once most people have left (not that I’m bitter) but enough to stop a Test match starting on time

You wouldn't have test cricket going on in the beer garden though.
It's not something I can afford more than once a year but I think the price is pretty reasonable for what you get.

I justify going to a Test match as what I would normally spend on a weekend away. The last one I did was the Sunday of the 5th Test against Australia at the Oval in Sept 19. Perfect weather and close match which England won on the day to level the series. What with ticket, train fare, beers in London with friends the night before, hotel and food and more beer, probably spent close on £300 but it was one of my best weekends in London ever.

How much are tickets for lords? Always fancied going but never had the chance.
Definitely got the lords museum tour on my list next time I visit London.
