New update is the same, I should not look any more as its quite depressing.

When is the earliest it will be called off or do we expect to have to wait all day on the chance of play.

I can't recall an international game being called off well ahead of time. I suppose they want you there at least buying some food and drink, and will bust a gut to get enough overs in so they don't have to offer a refund!

I predict that it will be lashing down, inspections at 11, 12, and 1, eventually seeing the game called off about 1.30pm.

Should be enough time for me to get sloshed though and apparently the hospitality area stays open all day even if its called off!
 
The ODI against Pakistan I remember Chester cricket club opened early doors and was knocking bacon sandwiches out about 9am. Cracking morning especially as it was a delayed start. Wetherspoons over the road was chocca early on too.

Thats been the forecast all week, and I think the weather has been decent
 
Bbc are saying torrential rain from midday Friday until midnight. Then cloudy Saturday, do it may be a case of getting the pitch dried out. Bit of luck they will have it under cover

I think its certain the pitch is covered or Durham would be not fit to hold an England game.

May not start on time but looks like we have a game.
