we didn't play yet again. Went upto Burnhope's ground on Friday and with no pitch cut and standing water on the outfield it wasnt likely

We had the covers on and off all day were only playing 40 overs and didn't finish out innings batting first till 5/40 !

No surprise it was a draw

What a bloody surprise, spoils everyone's day again just like last year, shitty english weather, cue Ian Botham it's always like this up here etc etc!!

Everytime I get a ticket, the weathers shite, one day v west indies was freezing, when Marcus and Alec Stewart held there bats, v new Zealand when it was sunny on part of the ground and raining on the rest, last years debacle...
Remember agains the Aussies was a good day

really hope that forecast improves, as the club have put a huge effort into this

Its just typical really, we get a game in July and its one of the worst summers for years.

Hoping some of the rain blows over to Friday as on that forecast we would do well to get a 20 20 game in.

Is Durham a decent ground for drainage? Ie if it rains then stops for a bit how likely are we to see any play, especially if it's as forecast and showers all week :-(

Decent ground for drainage but we only have 1 pitch blotter. Ground staff are excellent and will be working non stop to try and get the game on.

Forecast doesn't look that bad really. Sunshine and showers which is what has been forecast today and there hasn't been a drop of rain yet. Also, forecasts in advance of the next 48 hours are pretty inaccurate. KTF.

Cant wait, me and a mate have managed to wangle a couple of hospitality tickets. Just hope there is some cricket otherwise I could be in bed by about 3pm, given the early start.

Feckin iPads!!!!

I know someone who has 2 spare tickets. Not sure what part of the ground they are for but she's after the face value of £50 each for them. She'll probably have to accept a bit less if there are still tickets available but if anybody is interested let me know and I'll try to sort it.
