Any Sunderland strongholds left ?

The geography of the Premier League has changed with 10 teams from London or south of London. This was predicted in a book I read years ago stating that the wealthy areas of the country would begin to dominate and the old northern industrial town clubs would struggle with the exception of the big cities eg Manchester/Liverpool. Maybe we need to market ourselves around Durham County/South Tyneside schools and grass roots youth leagues, before we lose the next generation, establishing ourselves in the Premier League would certainly help.

Anyone County Durham supporting the mags is a turncoat who lacks morales, many jumped ship in the Keegan era , have zero loyalty and don’t realise they will Never be geordies and are looked down on by many of the mags
Idiots
Anyone supporting the mags from County Durham are a total embarrassment. Total plastic in every way.

Don't talk shite man. There may well be more 20 stone rats walking round in XXXXL tops with half a set of teeth in Shields but if you totalled up the number of ST's from Shields and you'd have far more SAFC than the filth. Far more.

Hebburn, although having a very sizeable SAFC support has never been classified as a 'stronghold'.
Fallen, failed to stand in the tribeless areas

Been in Seaham about five year and surprised at the amount of mags I've seen. Obviously very, very much in Sunderland favour but not as much as I thought
I have just moved there a couple of months ago from Hartlepool and have been surprised by the number of Mag shirts I have seen. There was 5 of them getting on the train at Seaham station earlier this season. Perhaps it is due to the amount of people moving there from out of the town. Our lass lived in Murton for 5 years when I have been with her and never seen any there in that time.

The one thing i notice is areas outside of Sunderland the safc fans go to the games regularly but the mag fans never actually go.

Darlo is bad for this, loads of darlo, boro, leeds, liverpool fans who go to games but the ones who shout the loudest are the mags and they never go.
Washington is very much like this. The overwhelming majority of mags i’ve encountered rarely if ever go to games. A few more crawling out the woodwork for the odd game since the takeover.
