Originally, it was files that were torrented on the shield - the videos were glitching, so I started to check things.
Although now, pushing anything to the shield seems to be totally fine - the files on the shield that I put there are ok. I suspect downloaded files from the internet would be fine now too. I don't know why this is!
Its only when I copy them back to the laptop that I'm seeing CRC type issues.
I'm not sure I have a shield issue anymore, or a router/laptop issue at high transfer speeds that's completely unrelated to the original "corrupted torrents" problem!
Pinpointed the issue in the end. 100% entire the nvidia shield causing the problem. Nothing at all I can do about it.
I'm on with their tech support now - hopefully its a software / driver change that they made that I can rollback.
