Went to watch a bit of East Rainton vs Littletown after work.
Seemed to be going well for Littletown.
Cracking piece of work from their keeper for one wicket; and a cracking catch for another.
Wonder how many called games off early doors? Know Beamish did.
Stanhope vs Wearmouth got on. We made 250ish from our innings.
I actually saw 3 catches.Catch? Sure you were watching Littletown?
I actually saw 3 catches.
2 in the slips off Ledger, one from a ball I thought could have been given as a no-ball. Few balls in the same over were short and could have been given as no balls. But good bowling.
Third was a screamer in gully/point region. Complete reaction catch. One of the better ones I've seen live.
I'm sorry, and maybe I'm being thick, but how can a team score less runs and take fewer wickets but still end up with more points than the other team?Seaham Park 211-8 (50 overs)
Bill Quay 207-9 (45 overs)
Quay 16 points Park 11 points. Great game,

Seaham only got 180 before the end of the 45th over (the cut off for batting points) and batted the full 50 rather than declaring, leaving bill quay 45 overs back.
As bill quay had a higher scoring rate they got the winning draw (7 points) while the park got the losing draw (3 points). Quay got 5 batting points for getting to 200 inside 45 overs, park 4 points for 180 in 45. Both teams got four bowling points for 8-9 wickets.
Also, as an aside, Steve Harper was playing for the park.
What does Harper play as? Is he good?
Mags new reserve keeper Rob Elliott plays for CLS 1sts so he must be canny too.
