Any changes for 2nd Test 🤔

Do England keep faith with the current side or make changes 🤔 Maybe Bethell for Crawley and depending on the Brisbane wicket Bashir ? I can see both Potts and Mc Kinney involved at some stage
Get Broad, Gower, Hussain and Atherton in.
Maybe even get them on the TNT comms too
Fly home and save us the trouble of watching Starc run through us again
Aye best Day Night bowler in the world iirc.

Think I'd drop Wood as not sure pink ball will suit him, think Tongue will come in.
Can't see Bashir doing anything so no point in playing a spinner.
Crawley will play the next 2 tests regardless so no point saying who I'd drop him for.

Australia play the most so something of a skewed stat. But his record is exceptional in them

As is Marnus with the bat

Needs to absolutely piss down for at least 4 days. Even then I wouldn’t be overly confident they could avoid a defeat.

They won't make any changes to the batting line up and there is no replacement opener in the squad, which is mental given how badly Crawley has struggled since, well, forever.

Ball is likely to move about more under the lights and Wood doesn't appear to be 100% so they could do worse than play Potts.

You can’t get wrong for telling the truth 😂
It was a spineless act from Swann, just because things weren’t going his way, he quits.
He wanted to quit after the summer Ashes and Cook convinced him to travel, said in his book it was a mistake from him (and hinted he wasn't best pleased with Swann retiring mid series)

It’s the coach that has changed us from a side that tried to bat 100 overs but rearly did and meekly surrendered game after game
Take the blinkers off.
McCullum inherited a team low on confidence and correctly boosted confidence initially by encouraging a play with confidence without penalty or sanction. However the attacking approach became a norm and any defensive skills became lost and obsolete. A debacle was an inevitable accident waiting to happen and those who forewarned about such were castigated as being negative and whingers.
What is clearly necessary is some serious net sessions to hopefully regain those basic skills and to recognise and adapt the playing style as the match situation demands.
I await the response from McCullum and the one size fits all bazball fanatics like your goodself.
Highly paid elite sportsmen are wholly deserving of brickbats if they perform irresponsibly -the customer has the right to complain whenever he's short changed.
I believe the current squad have the capability to retrieve the situation with an amended approach.
Send for Greensword.

.
You may joke but prime Greensword or Inglis would make a better job than Crawley.

Crawley should absolutely be dropped, but there’s nobody to replace him.

I suppose there’s no real reason to rest the bowlers after such a short game and a massive break.
Anybody is better than him right now.

I mean, it's damn near impossible for the replacement to do worse!

I think they’ll go with the same with the exception of Atkinson or Wood making way for Bashir.

They rarely change after just one game, even though it’s very tempting.

Problem is there is no replacement opener in the squad…… though they are probably stupid enough to put Pope there so they can find a reason to drop him when he fails

In fairness to that, they’ve always said that the Lions is basically an extension of the main squad.

Saying that, if Crawley was dropped I’ve no doubt that golden boy Bethell would be in ahead of McKinney.
