Do England keep faith with the current side or make changes 🤔 Maybe Bethell for Crawley and depending on the Brisbane wicket Bashir ? I can see both Potts and Mc Kinney involved at some stage
 

Crawley should absolutely be dropped, but there’s nobody to replace him.

I suppose there’s no real reason to rest the bowlers after such a short game and a massive break.
 
Yeah the coach ...then get someone in to tell them there responsibilities representing England and that a Test Match you can bat for 100 overs .......just going in with mindset of having a yahoo from start of your innings is not acceptable

They rarely change after just one game, even though it’s very tempting.

Problem is there is no replacement opener in the squad…… though they are probably stupid enough to put Pope there so they can find a reason to drop him when he fails

I would say less long format cricket played, make sure english international players play as little as possible, let's funnel money out of the county championship and into a format nobody plays to ensure we get as few world class players domestically as we can. That should help.

Despite my post above in all seriousness.

Your going to need a spinner in the daytime of a pinkball test. So Bashir has to really come in, who that would be for I have no idea.

They ain't dropping Crawley so I don't really think there's much point in people discussing any batting changes.
 
Lees would have been a better pick than Crawley.

Despite his captaincy at Durham being questionable he got plenty of runs for us, and he did OK when he played for England.

It’s the coach that has changed us from a side that tried to bat 100 overs but rearly did and meekly surrendered game after game
