His face has always been a clip to be fair even before the accident

Must admit I thought he had cost them about £30 million, so I was putting him around the £90 million mark. Where in todays silly market I think he is probably about valued.

He's only worth what someone will pay, and a lot of clubs aren't paying over the odds because of FFP. Clubs that are going to spend big will be looking for value, which at any price Newcastle put on him will make value hard to get

It makes it much easier to keep him at Newcastle of course.

In my opinion the lack of transfer activity will be what persuades the PL to change FFP. Big money moves every year and billions spent boosts the profile of the league and grabs the headlines. A few windows where nothing much happens and they'll make changes
