St.Maximim was the one outstanding player for Newcastle when Bruce was manager - they'd have been relegated without him.
He's the one player who has so far gone backwards under Howe; high intensity training (possibly other issues too) has caused St.Maximim to miss much of the passed 12 months through niggling injuries. It remains to be seen whether a fully fit ASM will have a major part to play at the club, but he's among the most talented players in the PL.

I love Longstaff but I do agree we will always have to up the bar if we want to be known as genuine challengers to the elites.
However, it'll take a bit of time to do this so it's about walking after the crawl and before running, as we all know what happens if you try to go too fast too soon.

Probably correct on that score but then again that's football fans for you. We're all fickle at times and we can all get a bit jealous of other clubs nick a player and then pretend no one was bothered about it and that player was garbage or trouble or worth half or a quarter of a fee....and so on.

I love Longstaff because he works hard and is a better player than many give him credit for.
The lad is still young and will add that little bit of end product to his game as time goes on, whether that's with us or elsewhere.
I'd rather it was with us.

I think Trossard made a massive mistake going to Arsenal. I think he'll spend more time on the bench than playing and then will be sold on as surplus.

Seems a good prospect, think was just trying to highlight the fact on his way to being a millionaire, probably already is to be fair, being willing to down tools.

Probably acceptable behaviour in the new Maggie Arabia. Who gives a shit when loaded.
