Anthony Gordon to Bayern.


Strange one ain’t it, I guess it makes more sense than Bayern as I couldn’t see where he’d play for them. But Gordon Barca levels? Nah, that’s taking out my red n white bias I just think he flatters to deceive. His stats this season for them take out pens and it’s bang average. I’m sure they owe Everton a decent chunk of sell on too. Still £70m on the books is gonna look decent for him. It’s gonna cause hassle in the summer though as clearly tonali and that livermento want away but now they’ve sold Claire I can see them making it isaak levels of fuck on for tonali.
 
Sadly I think they got a good price for him that will allow them to rebuild and seem to be linked to a couple of highly rated names including Lamine Camara.

Hopefully they don’t sell Elanga back to Forest and their recruitment is as poor as last year.

Camara looks a cracking little player mind. He will probably sign for someone less shit than the mags.
 
Can see Bruno and Tonali refusing to come back for pre season and digging their heals in for moves now.

Gordon refusing to play for the last month or so, and being rewarded with a quick move will only piss the rest of the players off who are looking to move and their agents will be making calls.

Plus that interview their chief executive gave shortly after the derby has clearly undermined any authority that Beheddie may have previously had over the dressing room.

It's not £70m as some on here are still quoting as it's €70m. That's just over £60.6m on the books now and a potential extra £8.7m in a future season with the add-ons. The profit they pay to Everton would be the £15.6m profit which is £2.34m plus £1.3m if the add-ons kick in.

They sold the ground to themselves to get around PSR with the Premier League but UEFA don't have allow any of that selling to self shite. I think part of them breaking UEFA's SCR is that they have a positive transfer balance as they've in talks for a while now about it. I still think they will sell another player for big money.

If they'd got into Conference then just like Chelsea it would have been a hindrance financially. That extra 15% this season probably gives them some breathing room to sort the numbers out for the season after if they want to be back in Europe.

I think it was late last year that it was hinted they won't won't repeat what they did last season paying big money for numerous 'proven' players but will also be looking for potential.

I think the concern they have is that some of their 'big' players may want to go, whereas the mags may want to sell others. I don't think it's all sweet and rosy at the mags. Look at the way Willock and Bruno went at each other recently, or Hall when he just walked off in the lap after the game and Gordon just giving up late is season and it's shown on the pitch since we beat them as some players have turned out some pathetic performances.

I think they've lost the 'feel good' factor they had. Is it because most at the club now realise they ain't gonna be another Man City and the hopes for the future they will have had last season after they won a cup, got 5th and Champions League and then potentially progressing this season have been dashed.

They've now also got a big squad of core starting line up players that will want 1st team football. But they don't have the extra games to rotate so some players will get even less game time so will they all accept that?

For all people say about Gordon being crap etc, he's a loss for the mags as when he could be arsed to run about creating chances, whipping a ball in or drawing fouls in the final 3rd. If they lose another one of their better players then they need to get it right with their recruitment or else the squad quality will drop.

They've also got a high wage bill in the £200m's so can't go signing top players who would be wanting well over £200k a week they could get at the big clubs. Gordon's wage will have been decent but they can't go out and buy a potential Elanga for the left wing paying big wages only for him to be a failure.

Long story short, they've had their big spending just like they did in the 90s and it's brought them short term 'success' but long term they're now reverting back to type as it's clear they won't be one of the big boys yet again.
