Fully agree but there’s been other cases where people have died and the IPCO have done a full investigation and found the police guilty of crimes that have had no real press coverage, certainly no comments from MPs from other parts of the country or calls for pure rage. For that reason I believe the reactions are down to the skin colour not the police not following the correct procedures.
No exact comparisons btw, but cases where police have been told things either believed or not believed them and then as a result of that deaths have been caused.
Hopefully the IPCO can do a full investigation, no outside pressure and punish anyone who done wrong and implement any changes. Nothing will bring back a life but let’s hope we can at least save another.

As said on another thread, the police made mistakes but could only act on the information they had at the time. They handcuffed who they'd been told was a dangerous individual while they got more info.

This isn't directed at you but why do people use shit as point scoring on here?
This is yet another scum bag killing someone else in my eyes and they should be locked up and never let out for taking a life but sadly that can't be done. What possesses someone to stab someone even though they know that being caught will mean a lengthy sentence in prison. This scum bag managed to do it in full view of CCTV.
Look at the 5" bladed knife he used when stabbing him in the neck, saying he had it for protection as he'd been attacked before.

Also, the correct conclusion to draw would be "police should check if someone's been stabbed if they say they've been stabbed and are lying on the ground" rather than "this is all the fault of people who whinged about Stephen Lawrence, let's go back the good old days"
