Another Reason to Hate Hampshire

Richard Thompson. The man who voted against the 16.4 when he was chairman of Surrey.

Didn't you just love how people in power always perform u turns!

I’m not condemning him just yet, I still think he’s on ‘the right side’ ultimately and I’m of the belief that domestic cricket is better having him inside the tent pissing out…

Is it time for counties outside the hundred farce to resign and set up their own county programme ?

The FTECB is getting more unfit and out of touch as every season goes by

I can’t imagine what Englands test team will be like in a few years when the current group are finished

Will we even play tests outside games v India and Australia ?

As it has since 1992 for Durham

I know that’s all sport people think about is cash but there has to come a time when other things are considered

If the group at nufc takeover Durham cricket, that’s me finished as a supporter

I’d rather watch the local leagues
I'd agree, and that's what I'll be doing too, just don't see how a break away league could work

I understand that but it’s about time those deemed unworthy via the hundred , started to flex their muscles a bit

Reminds of the days when Packer took on the old TCCB,MCC and Lords who ruled world cricket at the time

And I ant got enough lifetime left to move onto the BCCI and ICC

In a few years time in the County Championship, Hampshire Delhi Capitals could be playing Durham Arab Emirates.
I cant imagine these new owners will want the current rules as it will restrict their monetisation of the game. I bet they'd love:

- no more 4 day or 1 day cricket as it doesnt pull in the punters
- no limit on overseas players with squads full of journey men and young Indian players shared with other franchises
- player auctions across teams
- an international champions league format

I'm sure there's more horrific bollocks that doesnt immediately come to mind.

And is it not a worry given how India already has too much negative influence over cricket that they start influencing a domestic game
