confirmed the appointments on Saturday of both Tony Davison and Neil Fox as new directors at the club. The latter is not a famous radio DJ - he's Stewart Donald's long-time business partner and was previously a director at Eastleigh FC.

I like the fact stewart is bringing on board people he has worked with previously, including Juan, as they know what he is really made of, and wouldnt be doing it if he was a charlatan as some have alleged.

Absolutely bizarre logic that
why? Juan is richer than stewart by about 9 fold, if this goes wrong he has more to lose. Tony left a great, and higher paid, job at Tottenham with a strong reputation, if this goes wrong he won't ever get to be an MD again and probably couldnt just walk into a club as good as Spurs and get a job with that seniority. If either of those guys thought stewart was incompetent or a fraud, they wouldnt want to risk their reputations, or in Juan's case, money, with him.
Styewart is the largest shareholder, he runs the thing, they are happy for him to do that, thats quite the vote of confidence.

How has Juan got more to lose? He doesn’t lose everything if this goes pop

none of them lose everything if it goes pop. But Juan is the one with the biggest reputation for business success, he would lose that.

Charlie is the one with practically nothing to lose as he has a failed business behind him already, isnt into this financially very much etc.

Nothing on fox news.

You’re overstating it massively
maybe. But Stewart's reputaion is fuck all, people were writing articles saying he was worth £8m..Juan is different league, people like him don't need to play with small time people unless they trust the small time person is good.
People must pitch Juan every day to do something, that he took the meeting with stewart shows stewart is a player, that he put his name on the line is more important. The cash is, at this stage, largely irrelevant to him.
Stewart and he did a lot of business together in Spain I think, so Juan knows Stewart can deliver on what he promises.

They were wrong tbf. Journalists just totted up the net assets of companies he held a directorship in and somehow deduced that that was the same as his personal wealth.

Stewrat is worth about £100m I think, but still small fry compared to Juan.

I have no idea what he's worth but I get the feeling it's probably less than that but more than £8m. But yeah, Sartori is the one with deep pockets.

Is he tall? Can play in midfield?

Exactly. He had to show the EFL an account with £50m in. It was one of the hurdles in the fit and proper test.

But aye, Lee Ryder was close at £8m

the thing is the first business Doanld had was A-Plan insurance, but it was set up by his family, and he ran it for a bit, then sold it, how many of the shares were his and hoiw many belonged to other family members etc means getting a handle on his wealth is diffcult, he was also, apparently an early investor in Go Compare and Hastings Direct, but again those were sold on, and we don;t know what % he had. He then met Juan on some deals in Spain.

I think Stewart is an accountant so does the number's work..
