Announcement on KP to be made

Of course, the KP situation, whatever your view, masks the real issue that most of our test team have not been great in the last 18 months. My worry is that the underlying real problem...the on field cricketing performance...is being sidelined by this. Maybe getting rid of KP should just be the start ?

Is there anything to stop KP now turning out for South Africa? The rules in cricket seem a bit lax on these kind of think, remember some guy turning out for Canada at the World Cup and he'd previously played for West Indies.

Very very very very much doubt it would ever happen, but could you imagine KP strolling out at Lords for South Africa, would pay very good moeny to be there for that.

Well almost every man and his dog are saying he should be in the team solely because he is our best player. Jack Banister has come out and said the vote was unanimous to get rid of Pieterson from Whitaker,Giles and Downton.Gough on talkshite has given his best pal the title of `Our Most Senior Player' as if on that criterior alone he should be in the test team forever.

Should of been sacked after Textgate

The media's take on this I am finding really annoying especially Vaughan and co.

Vaughan gets all this praise for managing KP and criticizes the current lot for not being able to manage him?

Absolute shite, Vaughan retired a long time ago and England have been managing KP very well since, and been a very very succesful side with him in, alot more successful than Vaughan and co IMO. If they have decided enough is enough, then good riddance.

Personally I couldn't care less if he is our best player, I don't like the bloke and have no sympathy with him, as I said I thought he should of gone in 2012.

The fact he is using Piers Morgan as his mouthpiece, and has a picture of him and David Cameron as his twitter picture says it all about him.[DOUBLEPOST=1392113736][/DOUBLEPOST]
Excellent points from Freddie

Absolute rubbish spouted by the 'people's champion'

KP has fell out with everyone everywhere he has been. Flower and CO deserve a medal for putting up with him for this long.

Vaughan is entitled to his opinion. He was a very good, forward thinking captain who could think on his feet.

Whitaker,Giles and Downton have decided he is not worth the bother he brings to the dressing room.
If he never trained, turned up late and pissed on a match day, some would still say `i know but he's our best player'.

Worked for George Best.

On a serious note I'm surprised Ashley Giles decided he was a problem as he was one of KP's allies in the past.

I'm sure you can play for minor nations but you can't play for two major nations.

Cricket is a very different game to football. It needs team spirit at all times given the length of time players are together.

Pieterson is isolated and his history is poor;

- Forced Moores to leave
- Catastrophic period as captain which exposed his inability to be a team player
- Undermining Strauss through derogatory texting to the opposition
- Constantly feeding his media chums (especially Morgan) confidential details of meetings that he wants to drip feed into the public domain

Pieterson is not the full ticket. He can only think about himself and what will benefit himself. I have not encountered such a selfish individual in cricket since Boycott His form has been questionable and so the knives had to come out.

He will not be missed

Is that the Geoff Boycott who played 108 tests scoring a record 8114 runs, plus 153 first class centuries and a career average over 56? Sadly missed.
