I don't think he's been victimised but I'd like to know why this decision has been made. He underperformed big time in Australia but there were only 2 or 3 England players who didn't. I'd like to know whether moving on and clearing out includes the other elder statesmen of the team if we're rebuilding.
Yep, I'd go for a total rehash of the squad. Bring a load of young lads in and build around Stokes, Ballance, Mills....

Hpw far does the rebuild go though? There aren't many over 30s in and around the set up. Swann, and possibly Trott, have made part of the decision for the selectors/management, and Carberry isn't good enough, but do we ditch Prior, Monty, Anderson, Bell? Just noticed that Tremlett is over 30, guessing he's out too.

I'd keep jimmy and bell and ditch the rest. Bring in butler for prior, with Ballance, root, mills (if any good) for a start off.

I like the Mills (if any good) comment :lol:[DOUBLEPOST=1391543403][/DOUBLEPOST]Its a poor show IMO. We shouldn't be looking at whether or not KP is or isn't difficult to manage. We should be looking for an excellent man manager as a coach that can get the best players available for England to play. He is less culpable for England's recent demise than most.

KP is a saint compared to Ian Botham. How many tests would Beefy have played under this lot? Drug-taking allegations, sex-scandal, assault. That was just a normal cricketing weekend thirty years ago.

Struggling to see why there's quite so much uproar over this.

Yes, he's brilliant, but surely his attitude has been questionable for many a year now? Cricket is above all else a team game and England can do without his ego...
He's englands highest ever run scorer(if you include other formats still 4th highest in tests by 800 runs), trotts gone, cook doesn't seem like he knows which end of the bat is which, Ian bell didn't save us two series in a row, root and bairstow aren't ready, jimmy looks shite away from english conditions,swanns packed in, flowers been sacked.

Pietersen may be a complete and utter cock but you have to keep you're best players in the side. Especially when all hell is breaking loose.

To be honest we do not know what has gone on behind the scenes,he is our best player yet has still been dropped,that suggests to me he must have been pretty bad to manage to go as far as dropping him.

Would love to know the truth about what has been going on.

They want to surround themselves with yes men who are good losers. Phase 2 will see the pool of players exclusively drawn from the home counties. The 90's are back, lads.

Mills :eek::eek::eek::oops:

Dear oh dear. England reverting back to type with wholesale changes for the sake of it. Trott n KP have carried Englands batting for 5 years almost, without either, England will struggle for a good few years.
