Rather bizarre to sack and them bring him back in to the set up in some form
 

The ECB are just making it up as they go. They probably bring Gooch back next.

Thought he resigned/stepped down and was asked to run the academy?

Isn't the Lions squad a "development" squad, aimed and giving up and coming cricketers international experience? Why the fuck is Bopara in there? He'll never make it as a test cricketer

at least five who should be in the test squad

i like buttler but bairstow has more runs this season, hales has some big championship runs as well. i like vince as i see a bit of vaughan in him. parry is a better spinner than kerrigan imo. finn has to come back sooner or later
 
Could have been worse for us, at least Lyth, Lees and Rashid are all staying with us.

Strange appointment to bring Flower back.
