Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor arrested

I'm not blaming anyone it's you who's doing all the blaming. If I pointed nothing out put up a link to Charles paying towards the girls payoff. That was your big reason for those who cheered the coronation to feel silly now.
Charles is now doing all he can to get Andrew out of the royal family and for him to become a commoner. Obviously he's still going to be family as he's the kings brother and there is nothing Charles can do about that. But he won't be royal family.
All he can? Paying him 150 grand a year.I wish this commoner was getting that money paid to me for doing bot all. If he is paying him this, why do you think its such a stretch that he contributed towards keeping the nonce from going to court? You keep drinking out of your king charles mug mate

I'd say this is more to do with the timing than anything else.

Convicting a man of rape, even with all the evidence and testimony is about as likely as curbing Fergie's spending. It is incredibly difficult with the current system to charge let alone convict on sex crimes.... so with the release of the Epstein files more evidence has come to support the Private Eye editorials passim that Mountbatten was taking money from Epstein... the files provide evidence that it was in exchange in part for confidential information and access.
I would very much hope that this is the approach and is actively seen as a foundation working towards seeing some sort of retribution for the crimes against girls and women but as ever... the odds are very much against any sort of conviction for that crime.
Sadly a lot of it will be " he said she said".

More bull from you. He's paying him now to get rid of him out of the royal family for good. You have no proof Charles paid towards any pay off. So everything you've said on this subject and what you said about people feeling silly now is absolute shite. You're good at absolute shite mind, it's almost s gift with you.:)

Nah, it's purely a decision for the police if they want to charge a suspect or not. To be fair to them, they're only going to charge if they think there's enough evidence to secure a conviction. The CPS might not agree with that conclusion and decide not to go ahead with a court prosecution or ask for more evidence but that has nothing to do with the initial charging situation.
I'm confused about that first bit, as :

If a case passes both stages of our legal test, we will authorise the police to charge the suspect.

The prosecutor will decide which charges are most appropriate, based on the available evidence.

The police will charge the suspect with these offences and the case will be listed for a first hearing.

They get paid to do a job , addressing him by his then correct title was part of their duties.

What they thought of him privately would be a different matter.
A pal of mine was at school with one a lad who stood guard at Buckingham Palace when Wills and Harry were young.

"Salute me". "I order you to salute me" was the gist of the little scamps banter

Be funny if "K**t and the Gang" got to number one with "He's a sweaty nonce" this weekend.
Maybe they should release it as a charity single
That would be epic wouldn’t it? I wonder if the Lancashire hotpots are cooking up a tune too, I would probably explode if they did

As a supporter of the Monarchy I would support this. The whole principle of a constitutional monarchy is that they should operate within the law so if they break the law then they should forfeit their privileges.

No. The CPS don't tell the police anything and have no say in whether a suspect is charged or not. That is determined by the police. The police can arrest, charge and deal with a suspect without that suspect going anywhere near court or the CPS. The only time the COS get involved is once a suspect has been charged and passed off into the court system.
No, wrong. Police investigate, submit evidence to CPS who will or won't authorise charge. In highly exceptional circumstances, police can charge but it's very rare...

What's the point though? All the preparation will probably cost millions and he'd never be anywhere near the thrown anyway.

You couldn't be more wrong if you tried 😀 Police arrest, gather evidence then submit the evidence to the CPS who decide whether to prosecute or not.

Unfortunate that (not applicable to this case) they have privilege of ensuring that the law is repeatedly framed so as to specifically exempt them from having to operate within it - there's over 160 examples of sovereign immunity. Easy not to break the law in some circumstances if the law is written not to include you or your properties. Not a case for a single other person in this country.

No police or other agencies entering their estates or rivers to investigate crimes without permission, including environmental and wildlife crimes. No compulsory payment of taxes like income tax and capital gains for some of them, although they tip their crown at the peasants by volunteering to pay some. HMRC barred from any investigation into their affairs. Not subject to the Equality Act, so free to discriminate against their employees as they wish. No requirement for the King to comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act in the running of his estates. No duty on purchases of land. Exempt from FOI, and if the crown is lobbying to influence ministers, we're not entitled to know about it. Secrecy of wills, an exemption given to no one else in the country.

Monarch immune from any prosecution on civil or criminal grounds. Secret vetting - over a thousand times in Liz Windsor's reign - of legislation that might impact on their property or interests.

And on and on. If they want to be a monarchy in a constitutional democracy they should be subject to the same laws as everyone else, not think that they are entitled to do as they please or have the laws bent to their whim for them and no one else.

I said the sun reported he'd paid that money. I said there was no proof that he had paid as he has denied chipping in.
I did not say I'd read any article.
I did not say I disbelieved the article.
I did not say I believed charles instead.

Once again you've made shit up and are trying to say it's what I said. That's all you've done in this conversation because you know what I originally said was correct and you don't like that. It really is a waste of time trying to converse with someone like you.
