I think the police have done this the right way.

Get him charged with regards to the misconduct in public office, let him know that he really has no way out and is likely to serve prison time unless he gives up everything that he knows about Epstein, the going ons on the island and if they would lead to convictions of many high profile British people..

We all know that Randy Andy is going to get away with a slap on the wrist if he cooperates.
