I think that Jimmy is carrying an injury. He doesn't look happy with himself. Also starting to look slower and sloppier in the field. Hope he gets his swansong at Old Trafford. Whatever happens he is our greatest bowler ever. Has been a joy to watch over many years.

He did but we now have a choice of bringing Ali back or bringing Wood in. You can't have your opening bowler taking 3 wickets in 4 innings.

I think his body has finally caught up with him.

His pace at times was fine though which suggests the body is alright. I think the pitches have given him very little.
But generally speaking, he probably does need to be phased out at his age. Old Trafford could / should be his last test. I hope he makes the decision before it’s made for him though. He deserves to go out on his own terms and with a fanfare
I love Jimmy to bits but if the Ashes are still on the line at OT then I'm not sure he plays

More that anderson has dropped off and can't just be blamed on the wickets produced. Every other English bowler has seemed to get more movement than Jimmy which just isn't normalWhat are you suggesting like

If his speed had dropped it would be more concerning in terms of an age-related thing. Too early to discard him.
