This is probably his way of dampening down the stories that came out about a possible vaccine in the new year.

I've wondered if it would still remain in some countries and you'd be advised to have a vaccination if you want to visit, like yellow fever and typhoid.

No.
Last case 1980.
It's gone 👍👍
You need to let WHO know, they haven’t caught up yet

and NHS seem to think that typhoid fever is still about

Surely everyone knew this from day one, like almost every virus vaccinated against throughout history.
No mate. Most on here might as we are obviously well versed in debate, I'd like to think, but the average Joe in the street is expecting a vaccine that will sort all our problems in one fell swoop. Nice to hear our top guy tell it like it is.

Well, when do we give up waiting on it? This cycle we're headed into of restrictions, lockdown etc. is only tolerable on the premise a vaccine is relatively imminent - or are we going to be perpetually 6-18 months away and living like this?

“Give up waiting on it”

A disease which literally didn’t even exist in human population less than 12 months ago.

we'll look back at this period in history in 20 years time and not be able to work out why we locked down when the virus still exists and yet life is normal.
Speak for yourself I’ll be looking forward to getting my telegram from the palace
