Like what? not a single person on here would say our transfer business this summer has been poor, there’s a thread actually stating how well a job Speakman is doing? Methven has gone, we’ve started the season well, the club is being run financially well? other than him wanting more money, longer contact, more say in transfers I genuinely don’t know what else us as fans we could ask currently?

Yeah, I’ve made my thoughts known on that thread as well, and explained with a lot of examples why I don’t think anyone can say that Speakman has done - to quote that thread title - “an outstanding job” to date.

If we lose AN to Stoke, I’ll just have another thing to whack on the list.

its properly weird this-
the club has been spending money- on quality, brought an excellent loan in with Simms- we haven't sold any players from under him (which is very rare- it's a good sign we have kept hold of Ross) and are linked with some pretty exciting players- he might have said he wanted more experience but I assumed he didn't mean Jagielka.
I can understand players wanting to be close to family- they are generally younger- but Neill is 41 and how much free time does a manager realistically get anyway.

he'd been out of management a year when we went for him- if it goes wrong at stoke (which it would, they are shite)- he'll be dropping down the leagues or going to Greece ect.

if he does go, we have to move quickly though- we cant be pissing about like last time losing games and confidence- Dyche is probably the best bet
I don't think we've actually spent that much. Although it's almost impossible to know. Think they've structured deals so up front very little is paid.

What is? There's always a termination clause somewhere. He insisted on the rolling contract- how many are forgetting that?
If he was on a three year contract he would have the security of a pay off if he was sacked. Nothing like that on the rolling.

How do you know he insisted on the rolling contract? Close pals are you?

Even if he did, surely you reassess once we go up and tie him down?
