As Hunter insinuated in May and repeated the other day, the club had to do as much as possible to retain his services if they wanted to keep him long term. Sort out the contract and make concessions on certain recruitment decisions.

Obviously this is speculation on my part, but I suspect the signing of the Costa Rican boy is more of a club decision than an Alex Neil decision and it hasn’t gone down well given what we need in the market. Perhaps the pursuit of the French boy is similar too.

If there are differences of opinion on recruitment and there’s a potential offer elsewhere with better terms and more control then it’s inevitable Neil will at least consider it. Especially if it’s a club geographically closer to his wife and family.
Which would be understandable. Maybe things have gone a bit wrong behind the scenes. Certainly haven't on the pitch. As I said maybe he was offered a deal already as a reward for promotion but delayed it/turned it down.

He’s obviously told the board he wants to talk to them. This is so depressing.
If, and it's a big if, that is the case, the most depressing thing about it is how a manager who has already achieved "hero" status would even contemplate leaving. Unless, of course Madrox are still sniffing around in KLD's office making his position almost untenable.

I really like Neil now. He proved me wrong. But I still think he doesn't like the intensity of our fans and the media spotlight up here. If he goes to Stoke it's a downwards step.

It means fuck all, I remeber this place lumping on a complete outsider when we sacked one of our many managers before and getting them to be the bookies favourites.
I'm just replying to someone who said there was no evidence, albeit shaky
