Amadou Koné Would be my Jobe replacement

Jobe wasn’t a holding player. In the Championship we could get away with having him more advanced of a two who were a bit further back but he’s never a holding midfielder.

Le Fee will be our ten and he’ll work his arse off to get back in.

Priority now is someone who can sit next to Neil and break things up.

I’m not worried, surely there’s some big lads about confident on the ball
Yet in the final he was far more effective when he dropped deeper when Dan Neil went off.

Now that really would be the 'model' in full operation. Imagine Triantis plays class next season and puts himself in the £25million bracket!......nah, me neither unfortunately.

Yep, with the current situation being Hibernian unwillling to go up to a million up front (I know that’s pushing the limit of their finances) then it’s difficult to see it.

heard Kingsley Schindler is being brought in from turkey to play along side him

One goes up top, the other drops deep

should press a few buttons for supporters

Who ?

You say “ when DN went off “ as if he was to blame ?
We simply moved to 442 and went on the front foot, 20 mins to go and nowt to lose.
Dan has been my favourite Sunderland player for the last 3+ years, (though Eli is coming up fast on the inside lane). But DN wasn't having the best of games.

Enzo had been playing Rigg's role, (furthest CM forward and alongside the striker when we drop in to the 4-4-2 defending out of possession shape).

Their midfield, especially Souza as DM, had being doing a great job denying Le Fee space - he'd sometime dropped back to get on the ball more.
But the shift to 4-4-2 was exactly what moved Le Fee deeper - with Isidor now going alongside Mayenda.

When we were chasing the game and had all of the play.

We’re not getting that next year sadly
Chicken and Egg. I'd say having more of the play was as much a result of the changes - and Le Fee directing that play from the CM space.

Yes, next year will require a total rethink ... over to you Regis.
