Amad Diallo

but we offered him more money. I doubt we can pay Amad more than he's currently on.

Estimate between £100-120k. Adingra and Traore are on that combined.
Well, that's pretty obvious, but what do they value him at?

He's a hard one to judge.

£50m? Worth it imo. When he’s unleashed alongside the beast and the magician his value will soar.

Would be a perfect signing. We are desperate for a player like him. He would probably be £50m minimum tho. Think we would probably look abroad again and get someone cheaper.

He's been badly out of form since he came back from the AFCON, and wasn't great before that either. Think he badly needs the summer to get his head together, but I don't think he's the best option for a long term starter.

So you're saying there's a chance...? ;-)

Seriously though, it seems silly to think we could get him but if he really was surplus then I'd be disappointed if we didn't at least enquire as he would be exactly the sort player we need and already has the all-important connection with the club and fans. I imagine we'd be willing to spend a fair bit to get him. Any idea what his wages are like though as we have quite a tight wage structure just now?

Go forward not back.
We were close to Fermin Lopez in January for 80M, so clearly, we have that type of money to splash on one player.

go on. Bite!
Nivver heard of him, seriously like.
Will have to google.
Ah knars their boy Trini though a topper chanter.

Bring him home, anyone against it needs to remember how class he was. Even in the prem, before Carrick came along he looked like Utd’s best player at times. Imagine him and Le Fee linking up together like a new Amad and Roberts. Having a player who loves and gets the club with his ability is worth every penny.
I've watched almost every man utd game this season, Diallo has struggled under both managers. He's had some good games yes, one of his best was against us. His decision making in the final third has been poor, he slows right down or makes the wrong pass as both a number 10 and wide man, which is exactly what we struggle with already.

He's struggled even more under carrick who requires him to work hard defensively, with carrick playing mid and low blocks, which is what he'd also have to do here under RLB's low block.

So you are saying he wants to come home then

To be fair he hasn’t been great this year. No goals or assists in 2026 so far. You probably wouldn’t sign him if you’d watched him this year but that’s probably our best chance of getting him. He’s clearly unhappy at being used as a utility player (he was on the leftwing last week and hooked at half time the week before). He’d be an absolute star here alongside Le Fee and Brobbey with Nordi backing him up. Sell Adingra, Traore, Mundle and that’s probably Amad’s wage (rumoured to be on around £120k/week) and potentially half of the transfer fee.
Nailed on to score or assist against us today mate 😂🤦

Quote from The Guardian this morning.

Amad Diallo is looking forward to playing in front of his former public. The Ivorian winger enjoyed a successful season-long loan from United in 2022-23, and thrived under Tony Mowbray’s management. “Tony was like a dad to me, we had such a good relationship,” said Amad this week. “I really enjoyed my time in Sunderland, I have nothing but good to say about the club. Now I’m one of their big fans. I watch every game when they’re playing and I’m happy they’ve done so well.” Louise Taylor
