Amad Diallo

To be fair he hasn’t been great this year. No goals or assists in 2026 so far. You probably wouldn’t sign him if you’d watched him this year but that’s probably our best chance of getting him. He’s clearly unhappy at being used as a utility player (he was on the leftwing last week and hooked at half time the week before). He’d be an absolute star here alongside Le Fee and Brobbey with Nordi backing him up. Sell Adingra, Traore, Mundle and that’s probably Amad’s wage (rumoured to be on around £120k/week) and potentially half of the transfer fee.

If it took our entire budget would people still have him?

So if it meant he was out only signing? I lean towards of course not but he is exactly what we need

Wheel and deal. Three out (Adingra, Traore and Mundle) funds maybe half the fee and the bulk of his wages. Still plenty of room for manoeuvre I reckon.

He's been there a good while now, and could be further down the pecking order again when they bring in players in the summer.

I'm scratching my head as to what his value would be. Can Man U really ask for anymore than 35m with him being a squad player??

Yes, a squad player at Man Utd like Amad is worth more than a squad player like Talbi here...

Well, that's pretty obvious, but what do they value him at?

Well they can afford to keep players of his quality as squad players as they generate the revenue to pay his wages.

He has to be worth around £50m I'd say...to them and potentially us, even. I'd love us to sign him and I don't think it's as far fetched as some people think.

It would be less of a surprised than signing Xhaka for me anyway.

I think they'd be looking at £55-60M easily. They paid £19M up front rising to £26M. Add in his wages. Then look at the lad not being 24 until July so plenty resale value, he's got experience in the Premier League and the Championship. Only signed a new 5 year contract last January (2025, United haven't made much profit on selling players on these last few years either. I'd say my guess above is a conservative amount and with the new financial rules coming into play, they quite possibly looking at £80M

17 for adringa, 7 for Traore (total guess) and 5 for Mundle?

30 mil in, less squad depth and another 30 to pay out?

To be fair though we’re likely to have one big sale and if we used that money for Amad I’d be happy

Traore is out of contract in the summer isn't he? Unless we've got a year option on him? I genuinely can't remember but even then we'd only be looking at 3-4m for him.

I don't think he's anywhere near 80m like.

I'd offer 40m and see if it turns any heads. He's probably going to be behind yet more players when they recruit again in the summer.

We really need some quality and experience on that right, Amad would be ideal for that role.

They can afford to keep him easily as a squad player, no doubt, but he's been there a while now and has experienced being a first team player here, I think he'll be wanting to kick on, but the likelihood is Man U will bring in new players and he'll be further down the pecking order.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him go in the summer tbh.
