Amad Diallo

I could see United cashing in on him as part of a big champions league spending spree. He's been there 5 years now so the vast majority, if not all, of his transfer fee will have been amortised by now so basically anything they sell him for would be classed as pure profit under SCR.

Never go back.

Wouldn’t be the same again second time around.

I said this when Quinn was trying to get SKP from Villa before he went to WBA. A lot of people wanted him back here as a priority. Sometimes it's best just to leave the past where it is. Fast forward a decade and he was at Birmingham and the SoL showed their true appreciation for him, would that have happened if he came back and didn't live up to expectations.

Difference is, Phillips was near the end of his career then...Amad is yet to hit his prime. Anyone saying no to Amad are bonkers imo....it's a no brainer.

100% - he's 23 not 33.
I think him and Summerville if WHU were to go down would be excellent business for wide options alongside Talbi/Angulo/TaBi/Rigg/LeFee

Could play a part in the resurgence of Adingra if that wasn't made permanent.

If we got those 2 then we go to another level tbh mate.

Agree, but progress is needed to stand still at this level.

Not forgetting it's likely we won't have options like Isidor, Adingra and Traore that we started the season so well with. Add to that the potential that LeFee is better in the middle and even Rigg/Mayenda/Mundle might seek regular games on loan elsewhere.

I'm not saying we shouldn't sign him. I love the lad and he's obviously an absolute brilliant footballer. It's not a direct comparison with Phillips but it was a different time for both us and Amad. Will it be the same?

Only Rigg will be here next season out of all of those names imo. We need step up in quality from those players to keep progressing. KLD doesn't want to hang around bottom half apparently for long.

Probably better as he is still relatively young and has yrs ahead of him.

I'd hope so. I'd imagine it would take £50m to get him out of United though. 23, knows English football, how long has he got left on his contract?

I think he’ll definitely be away permanently, to another side if not Monaco

I f***ing love Amad like. He was truly superb here and got exactly what the club was about. Of course we'd love him back but I dont see it happening.
