Plenty forwards at age of 30 go for more than 5 million absolutely ridiculous point
A team who’s ambitious and wants to realistically challenge not willing to pay fees like this for proven goal scorers will go nowhere
It’s why we end up with loans like burstow at end of window
It’s not that there’s ’ not many number 9s not available’ it’s that we won’t pay for them the evidence is clear
Most teams in our division are managing it , why aren’t we?

His club would have to be happy at what was being offered so it would have to be a fee in the region of what they value him at....what's difficult to understand about that?

We clearly haven't offered what Caen value him at or else he'd be here.

It would, what's with the passive aggressive questioning? Or is this the way of this forum this time of the month? I was merely pointing out that his worth is an agreed "worth" between two parties.

Totally agree, but if we or any other club don't value him that highly and no one bids that amount, then he is not valued / worth that price (The owner club can still obviously value him at that, but he isn't worth what is not bid or agreed by both parties)

End of the day, if the offer isn't to his clubs liking, they won't accept it, hence the player being worth as much as his club value him at.
