It’s been confusing at times. Booting Johnson looked decisive, then the process to replace him was messy but ended up working out.

Neil was out of their hands, and it looked like they had planned ahead with Mowbray already being in and around the club.

Then it looked like they had planned ahead with Farioli, but TM did so well they felt they couldn’t sack him. When they booted TM they then made an absolute joke of bringing in a replacement. Awful, awful stuff.

I understood waiting until the summer once Beale was gone……but that too ended up looking like they hadn’t really thought it through despite having loads of time. Maybe Still really messed them about?

Ignoring how we got here, I’m quite hopeful on RLB. My one criteria is that he tries to play attacking, enjoyable football and we’ve got that in theory. I hope he surprises everyone and we walk the league, but it’s a risk.

let's hope so. Without a cutting edge I expect it to settle down into less ambitous sides getting to grips with us and us having to play in front of them again. Playing at a high tempo one or two touch will just leave us more susceptible to the counter without that cutting edge - so some need to seriously step up or we need to buy it ASAP.

I’m hopping that Brown being a bit more disciplined than Ekwah might help, Dan Neil not having to do all of the defensive midfield work would be nice.

A clinical striker/focal point to help build the play is the big issue.

If we don’t get one you’re probably right about teams looking to frustrate us. Unless Mundle, Auchiche and Poveda can step up when Clarke and Roberts aren’t at it we will likely struggle with that.
 
May just be a glutton for punishment, but at this point let us show up Saturday with nobody up top. Losing 2 nil with 8 shots on goal is something even KS can’t continue to ignore after playing Helen Keller to the issue the last 18 months.

If him and KLD actually gave a shit, we'd not be in this position 18 month on. This fuck up of their own doing should not even be possible at a professional football club.

f***ing Sunday league are better organised.
