he's 30 mate, hardly being used as a bargaining chip, this is his last chance to get a decent move, the only other options were saudi clubs and second tier Italian sides which he turned downMore like he’s using us a bargaining chip.
We definitely aren’t paying thatYou must be logged on to see media items
What’s your point?
I was slightly concerned we didn’t have enough in Aug 22, as we others, there was nowhere near this level of concern, but it those of us not wumming which I’m convinced you are, or those of us who can look at things objectively, could see then we looked short upfront, and said as much, although much more toned down as in the main it looked ok.
There was the same excuses then, “there’s still weeks left in the window” etc. then stop being negative and bedwetter and all that jazz, and within a few weeks of the window closing, we had no striker as both were injured and our form went out the window.
On Jan 1st Everton recalled Simms, and the concern grew massively, Stewart then got injured and exactly what people were concerned about was realised.
Stewart then got injured against Fulham, same again, “weeks left” stop being negative, bedwetters blah blah blah, but we ended up ridiculously short. Yes we finished 6th because of the brilliance of Amad, Clarke and Roberts, but that Luton away game showed glaring holes, and had we signed the cover us “negative” folk pointed out, I firmly believe we’d have beaten them.
Onto Aug 23, and again the same craic, “weeks left” Fannies etc. it was even worse when we signed the bairns and rusyn, the abuse was ridiculous, and look what happened, last season was absolutely horrendous, not just up front but we dropped like a stone, and we were incredibly lucky there wasn’t a few games left.
The so called forward planning really came in to its own, and it resulted in an absolutely horrendous few months. All the concern was justified in this spell as a result of our incompetence over a 18-24 month period.
The penny finally dropped and the vast majority acknowledged people’s concerns were justified.
Fast forward a few weeks and a couple of Hummel tops and here we are again, stop being negative, abuse being thrown around by the likes of Nelson. It’s beyond pathetic.
So yes fears over a period were well and truly realised and it’s not just people being negative. If you can’t understand that, then like I’ve said it’s one of two things. You’re either a complete wum, or you refuse to see beyond red and white blinkers.
was that defo true?We definitely aren’t paying thatconsidering the fee we had accepted was only £1m plus add ons. We will likely end up paying around 3 million if everything goes well.
£3m or 3m euros? We definitely aren’t paying thatconsidering the fee we had accepted was only £1m plus add ons. We will likely end up paying around 3 million if everything goes well.
Probably be in euros, I don’t know what the clauses were to make the fee rise though£3m or 3m euros?
I can’t see the person who told me making it up like so I’m going to go with yeswas that defo true?
That fee that keeps getting bandied around is based purely on his value on transfermarkt.com, it has literally no bearing on what Caen want. You must be logged on to see media items
