Personally I reckon caen have said he can come over while we are trying to negotiate the deal to get contract and medical done.
SAFC know this signing goes completely against their current model as he has no resale value so they want to get him as cheap as possible.According to the Caen forum I was reading they need to give his old club Bordeaux a decent chunk of the fee so they will be wanting as much as possible.
Could still be in a few more days of negotiations before we hear anything imo.

Since its been reported that still was offered the job, agreed in principle and then changed his mind last second someone saying it was done absolutely doesn't diminish the possibility they had some connection to the club

I don’t think that’s the issue. The issue was saying it was done when it wasn’t. Connection or not, it makes it very hard to know how much to trust future info beyond “there’s probably smoke here”
