My point is we paid £2m for an unknown. £4m for a proven goal scorer doesn’t seem too far a stretch

Millwall signed that langstaff for 750k. I've no idea about the standard of the French 2nd division but from the mendy highlights it looked about league one/ two level imho. Langstaff is a few years younger also. Just playing devils advocate

I think you may be going slightly over the top there. In what sense are they f***ing anyone over?

They’ve improved the quality/value of the squad massively while they have been here.

Just to play angel's advocate, Mendy's highlights look way better than LNDrogba's highlights from us in L1 do (IMO if I try to take the rose-tint off).

So your suggestion is to just pay more than we think he’s worth? That’s worked out really well for us in the past.

I’m concerned that we won’t get a striker before the window closes, having a meltdown about it now just seems crazy with almost a month left of the window. Not ideal, but that’s largely down to the window not closing when the season starts. Clubs will always hang on for more cash if they can.
