Get the distinct impression he won't suffer fools gladly, or even at all.
Yes and we can see how that could come in handy when dealing with the boardroom jargonists and, equally, under-performing players. But I was most struck by his thoughts on not just handling pressure, but being motivated by it.

So it's just a 12 month contract then?

It is a 12 month contract that will automatically renew for another 12 months if either party decide not to break it..
You do not wake up everyday and have a new 12 month ahead of you like the other post suggests. Think of it as a countdown, each day you wake up you have less time until the 12 month breakpoint.

People on here getting wound up over the club not revealing the manager yet 😂 there's obviously a reason for it man maybe loose ends solicitors or paperwork but he's obviously the new manager
This will 100% have been what it was. Everything pretty much tied up and everyone knows but the club can’t announce it till it’s absolutely done and dusted.

It renews on the same terms?

This time may be a bit different imo. They’ve made a catastrophic mess in the last few weeks. Promotion is gone aside from the playoffs. The new manager search has shown the club to be completely incompetent. Winning a few games should not change that. It’ll make little difference to our season anyway. We could win all 15 and it may still only see us in the playoffs.
We won’t will all 15 but if we did we would have 99 points. That would get us promotion

I’m happy with him. Had we appointed him within a few days of sacking Johnson, I’d have been really happy. I understand the window delayed things, but the club have made themselves look f***ing stupid here.

I won’t be drawn into another false dawn. We still have a massive battle on our hands to get into the playoffs, let’s just hope we can get 3 points tomorrow.

If we do make the playoffs, I’ll be happier with Neil in charge than Johnson. And I can’t wait for the the inevitable time that we are shite and he just comes out and says it.

We need a settled side, as much as possible, to finish third and hope his experience of the play-offs makes the difference. I wanted Keane just for the lift it would give the fans but this lad is probably the best we could have attracted.
