Hope Alex Neil hasn't got the job and he's just rocked up up Durham train station in a Sunderland tracksuit and got one of his mates to take a photo and stick it on the internet.

Appleton was always my first choice as he has always spoken very highly of our club, Roy Keane was a pipe dream and a big risk, which I, along with a lot of people on here got carried away with but upon reflection I am happy with Neil and hope he gets a chance.

A lot of assumptions in there. Remember PNE fans pleading for him to be sacked
 
Stealth appointment didn't work then. They know most of the fans are pissed off over Keane probably. Just get it announced man we've moved on from Keane.
 
Knowing how they operate the club’s probably sent Confirmation of Appointment letters to all the interviewees and are now frantically dealing with banks of lawyers before being able to announce the right candidate.
