Alex Neil - New head coach confirmed

If it is Alex Neil, then what we have got is a young coach (still only 40), with lots of experience (Scotland, Championship, Premier League over 9 years), 2 promotions under his belt, highly rated in (and around) the game, track record of getting the most out of what he’s got, and still well thought of at all previous clubs. The only questions might be that he’s never managed lower than the Championship before and he wasn’t massively successful with Preston when they started selling players. He has a much better track record than Roy Keane, and for a club in our position it actually seems like an astute appointment. Time will tell of course. Let’s just get behind him and see where he can take us.

Better than the last three at this point in proceedings for certain. I will be 100% behind him.
I support all our managers but jury was always out on Ross, Parky was a waste of time, Johnson grew on me and I thought was doing ok and turning us into a football team, but there were to many issues, not all of his making
Hopefully Neil takes us to another level and overcomes poor club leadership, recruitment issues, in juries etc to prevail. He seems mentally tough enough

Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s 7pm today.

If it’s all agreed why on earth don’t the club just put a quick two or three liner out to the affect of Neil is the new boss on a xxx year contract, further details will be released in due course.

With the Keane saga still fresh in peoples memories the lack of any announcement just adds to the unease.

absolutely.....address the elephant in
the room on monday , hopefully after any kind of win on saturday ( an absolute must btw
)

Has Neil’s been appointed yet ?

Wont be officially announced as Stewie & Charlie have asked him to do a 3 month work trial through the jobcentre.

They've got him till the end of May so they'll ask him to paint the stadium before they sack him off.

Let's hope the lads turn up tomorrow and we can get off to a win and it's not one of those 'new manager realizes the enormity of the task ahead of them' type first games/ results

They’re expecting a social media backlash, and they’re taking extra caution in how they word the announcement. How do we announce our nee manager in a positive manner, when everyone knows he was second choice?
we can ask Newcastle, Howe was at least 3rd choice and somehow sold as a saviour, the best of all the candidates, the nicest bloke on the planet and unaware of any mass executions
