I'd be happy with Neil. He did well on a limited budget at Preston last year.

The same fans in that footage no doubt ended up calling for him to be sacked eventually. He’ll be backed by our support as every manager is, but that doesn’t mean people can’t have reservations. But not good enough for some on here. Oh well.
You are being very pedantic tonight! You know exactly what I mean. I will gladly hold my hands up if I am wrong however I find pedantic people seldom will!Kevin Ball?
Slightly better than “literally nobody” - a factually incorrect statement. You do know what ‘literally‘ means?
In fact there were quite a few. I’ve been an advocate of getting Neil for a while, so when others mentioned his name I took notice, hence why I know there’s been quite a few. Just because you’re not keen doesn’t mean others aren’t.
And the Bristol fans warned us about the streaky form and management patter. Norwich and Preston fans seem to be saying he's a good appointment. A meat and potatoes type, but who cares as long as we go up.He's a top half championship manager? Johnson finished in the top half with Bristol City.

Fair enough but take Keane out of all of this, then who the hell did people think we could get.The same fans in that footage no doubt ended up calling for him to be sacked eventually. He’ll be backed by our support as every manager is, but that doesn’t mean people can’t have reservations.
Another way of looking at it is they are two divisions above us.Christ almighty man, bloody Norwich fans looking down their noses at Sunderland
What the feck has happened to our club????
Norwich ffs!!!!! It’s about a tenth of the size of SAFC
If Neil had been appointed the day after Johnson was sacked the atmosphere around the club would have been acceptable.
The onwership and leadership have created a toxic atmosphere with the way they have behaved over the past couple of weeks.
Speakman needs to go tonight and if KLD cant or wont invest he needs to put the club up for sale. If not we will become a Portsmouth or worse.
Im sick of hearing 'sustainability'. The club has infastructure that cant be sustained in Div 3. We either have owners who can invest to get out of this horrible league or they need to sell up, The club is dieing by a thousand cuts.
And Neil replaced him and did better.Preston fans loved Grayson...
I'm pretty confident he'll be nothing like Grayson, even if he turns out shite.Preston fans loved Grayson...
You’ve done him there mind. What were Ipswich fans saying when Messiah Keane left ? I know it was years and years and years ago
They’re different levels completely. LJ is nowhere near as tactically astute as AN.I don’t think they’re too dissimilar, but feel it was Johnson’s inconsistency and streaks. I think (and hope) that Neil will be more solid, whilst still playing aggressive attacking football. Plus he won’t bother with POMO
Tell the truth about what happened back in the championship now.Not really, he didn’t storm the Championship they went up via the playoffs and were subsequently relegated the following season. He then couldn’t get a tune out of them back in the Championship until Farke rocked up and breezed it.
I said I’d take Neil but wanted Keane more. @Upthere slightly put me offRighto. I don’t want him to fail, I just find it amazing people are happy about it when literally nee one wanted him before he was all but confirmed. It happens all the time.
Instead of playing this game, give us an indication of who, at 40 years old, has a more appealing record, in your opinion. How many managers already sacked twice by the age of 40?
