If it was promoted from league one to Championship, then relegated and sacked, I would agree. However getting someone in who has got a team promoted to PL level is better than we could have expected after Keano.

Personally I think he's a good appointment. From what I can remember he likes to get the ball out wide and get forward quickly. If he can get a bit of aggression in the middle of the park and tighten us up at the back, we'll be fine imo.

Neil isn't as bad as some are making out.

Surely the division you were operating in is important to factor in the equation. Neil’s had a couple of seasons in the top flight to take into account, LJ mostly in lower league football.

Looking at his record he came in at Norwich in January, had an excellent half season in which they went up via the playoffs. Relegated next season and done nothing since there or at Preston.
